Pregnancy Update: 33 weeks and 1 day!

How far along: 33 weeks, 1 day

I hate how my hair is the same style in every shot. I should start taking pics on Sundays. That's when I actually do my hair!

Countdown: 6 weeks, 6 days

Size of baby: Large cantaloupe! (19-22in, 5.5lbs)

Maternity clothes: Anything long and stretchy! Dresses and tanks with bikini top underneath!!! (hot week)

Movement: His kicks, punches, stretches, (whatever he's doing) HURT!!! At times it feels like a heel is stuck up in between my lung and rib cage! I do not remember Lincoln being quite as active as this one! And LOTS of hiccups!!!

What I miss: My body pillow....

Sleep: Can't get comfortable...heartburn and indigestion always starts right before bed.

Symptoms: Like I said, still more heartburn. Clumsy, pregnancy brain, tired, and lazy..... (maybe some of these aren't REALLY pregnancy symptoms...) :-/

Cravings: Anything with chocolate! I've been eating these chocolate covered, peanut butter granola bars from Aldi's....(hence the heartburn probably) oh yum!

Best moment of the week: my doctor telling me that she's liking the progress, and to keep eating whatever I've been eating! More chocolate granola bars for me!!! :) OH!! and finding a $70 high chair for $17 at Walmart! Woohoo!

What I'm looking forward to: Getting the kid's room finished.

Pregnancy update: 31 weeks, 2 days!

Boy am I ready to be done with pregnancy!!!

How far along: 31 weeks, 2 days

Countdown: 8 weeks, 5 days

Size of baby:  A honeydew! (19in, 4.5lbs) wowza!!!!

Maternity clothes: Joe's tshirts, or stretchy tank tops. Down to one pair of jeans that ride just under my belly. (given that the button needs to be popped anytime I sit!)

Movement: I don't know how he's supposed stay in there for 2 more months! There's NO room!!! He's got some rough kicks!!!

What I miss: A flat tummy! :) And clothes looking normal on me.

Sleep: Night sleeping is getting a little rough, naps are the greatest!!!

Symptoms: Heartburn every night. More braxton hicks and getting stronger. Strong hunger cravings. Nothing in particular, just wanting to snack all.the.time. Well...I guess the cravings are more for junk food than anything else.

Cravings: I guess it's junk food! and coffee.

Best moment of the week: I can't remember...really, I don't remember what happened this week....All that matters is that nothing terrible happened!

What I'm looking forward to: Just holding a newborn.

Lincoln loving on his little brother and mommy! :) Can't wait to see him as a big brother!

Pregnancy update: 30 weeks and 3 days!!!

Sorry I've been bad and not updating over the last couple weeks. I've been tired tired tired....Same old story for the last couple weeks. Just can't seem to get this fog off me. Pregnancy brain has been terrible and I just don't want to do ANYTHING!!! That's my excuse...Sorry...

So here it is. It's down to the final weeks!!!! We're in the single digits for the countdown!!!

(I take horrible pics, I know...)

How far along: 30 weeks and 3 days

Countdown: 9 weeks and 4 days

Size of baby: (still measuring a week bigger) a head of lettuce (19 in, 3.9 lbs)

Maternity clothes: Whatever I can find, (which has been hard) I need more tank tops and shirts. I hate to buy more clothes for just a few more weeks of big belly.... So I might pull out my maxi dress and see how that looks. Like today I'm wearing a dress/shirt from Express. Forgot how much I liked it! Bonus! It's comfy!!! :)

Movement: LOTS!!!! and lots of braxton hicks contractions too. Definitely more than last pregnancy. I think it's mostly because I don't drink water...I know....I really should be drinking water. I'm trying. I'm just not a water drinker.

What I miss: Being able to walk like a normal person. I'm so over with this waddle.

Sleep: Can't get enough. Though, I did pretty good yesterday without my nap! That's a first in a long while! My energy level comes and goes.

Symptoms: Sore back, fatigue, REALLY BAD PREGNANCY BRAIN!!!!

Cravings: candy. I think I ate most of my son's Easter candy. I can't go to Aldi's without buying some of the  Australian strawberry flavored licorice. (you know, that really soft licorice....my BIGGEST weakness right now) I heard of someone who refrained from eating candy and bought a little stash of her favorite kind to reward herself for after delivery...hhmmmm...can I do it???

Best moment of the week: Lincoln telling me that I make his heart happy! Makes all this mommy/pregnancy business all worth it! :)

What I'm looking forward to: The moment they place my son on my chest and we get to see each other for the first time!

Other random updates since last pregnancy post:
I passed my 3hr glucose test, so I've been spoiling myself. (which you've probably noticed with all the candy eating lately)
I had an ultra sound done yesterday and my placenta is not low like it was earlier on, so that's good news.
I got to visit my sister in Indianapolis couple weeks ago.
I rearranged Lincoln's room and made it into the 'boys room.' There's a pack n play in there and I'm making a dresser into a changing station.
I packed a diaper bag. (this one is just crazy to me, I don't know why....but it is)
Preschool with Lincoln has been put on hold.
Lincoln likes to look at the recent ultra sound pictures! One of them he pointed and asked,
"what's this?"
I said, "It's his pee-pee."
"OH!! HAHA!!!"
His reaction was just too funny!! He cracks me up!

So that's pretty much it! Thanks for stopping by!

Pregnancy Update week 27

*YAWN* all I can say these days is, "Where's my bed?! Is it nap time yet? Why am I SO tired???"

Today I was in the dr. office waiting to get my blood drawn after I drank that nasty orange stuff...and I almost fell asleep in my chair it's been so bad....

BUT!!! I just got up from a nap and am drinking some Pepsi, so hopefully that will get me through the evening! Seriously though, I don't remember being this tired with my first!

I feel like I look huge...I FEEL huge!!!

How far along: 27 weeks - Third trimester starts now!!!!

Countdown: 13 weeks

Size of baby: Small cabbage. 17 in, 2.9 lbs

Maternity clothes: Bring out the maternity summer clothing! Couple months ago I found a good sale and stocked up on summer clothes for our Florida trip in February. There in the picture is a comfy tank I had gotten then. I think from now on that's all I'll be wearing is tanks and my stretchy capris.
Last week Joe and I found a REALLY cute dress at Target and I can't wait to wear it!!! :)

Movement: Lots of jabbing going on. Sometimes really hard jabs! Couple weeks ago I mentioned that I thought he was curling up on my right/front side and then I'd get this weird bump on my belly...It's been happening more often and my stomach muscles will get really hard. The other night as I was laying down, my stomach was so deformed I googled "braxton hicks" and I found a picture that a girl took of her belly during a braxton hicks, and sure enough...I was having them without even realizing it! They don't hurt like it seems for other people. I just get really tight stomach muscles and a funny looking belly that's lop sided. I get them almost every night when I lay down at the end of the day. At least this time it's that instead of the annoying leg cramps like I was having in my last pregnancy...SO PAINFUL!!!!

What I miss: Wearing normal shirts.

Sleep: never seem to get enough. I took two little naps today.

Symptoms: My bladder suffering here!

Cravings: Dark soda like Coke or Pepsi

Best moment of the week: Buying more summer baby clothes at a consignment sale! :) (summer clothing is my weakness!)

What I'm looking forward too: Seeing my baby's face for the very first time. Joe and I have been talking about how anxious we are getting to meet this little one!

Pregnancy update: 26 weeks

It was an uneventful week here. Can't remember what happened or if there's anything important to report...

How far along: 26 weeks

Countdown: 14 weeks (98 days!)

Size of baby: Head of cauliflower 16 in, 2.5 lbs

Maternity clothes: nope, not gonna wear them till last minute. :) Except for that ugly maternity dress I wore on Sunday....

Movement: ACTIVE!!!! I think he must be moving into position, or he has found that his legs and feet are good for kicking up into my rib cage! Especially when I'm sitting down. He must be running out of room.

What I miss: energy...

Sleep: good, but not enough...and when nap time comes around, I never take advantage of it...

Symptoms: Little bit of heartburn in the evenings. and TIRED ALL DAY LONG!!!!

Cravings: Nothing that I can think of....

Best moment of this week: Having daddy and big brother both at my belly saying hi and singing to baby!

What I'm looking forward to: Having tomorrow's appointment done and over with. I have to stay and do the glucose test...not looking forward to it, just want it done.

Pregnancy update: 25 weeks

How far along: 25 weeks

Countdown: 15 weeks

Size of baby: He's as big as a cucumber. 15 in, 2.2lbs

Maternity clothes: Still, the only clothing that I wear that is really maternity are my church/dress clothes. I pulled out the maternity skirt this week.

Movement: A little less active than last week. Sometimes it seems he'll curl up on my right/front and I'll have this weird bulge showing.

What I miss: Being able to do daily stuff without feeling EXHAUSTED by mid afternoon/early evening.

Sleep: Getting a little more uncomfortable. Surprised I've survived without my body pillow this far. I haven't had any crazy dreams like I did at the beginning. (that I can remember)

Symptoms: um....TMI: gassy.... I don't remember that from last pregnancy. And really sore back at the end of the day.

Cravings: I went to P.F. Changs the other night, and ever since then I've been wanting to go back for egg rolls.

Best moment of this week: Buying a double stroller. It's like a sit 'n' stand. It's a used, looks like new, Fisher Price Stand and Ride Duo Stroller.
(Picture from Amazon.com)

What I'm looking forward to: Picking a name. We haven't really talked about it. We had a name that we've always liked way back when we were picking out Lincoln's name. So I think we just always thought of that name being this little one's name. I don't want to really SAY it out loud or type it out for everyone to see it yet. I'm still waiting...I think it's because we've had this name picked out for forever that it seems too unreal to actually have it become a REAL name!

Pregnancy update: 24 weeks

Pregnancy update

How far along: 24 weeks (6 months!)
If anyone who's been in our house and is confused as to where this shot was taken, it's a mirrored image from my computer webcam. For some reason it doesn't rotate on it's own, I have to select that option, and forgot... :)

Countdown: 16 weeks

Size of baby: (I'm putting into fact that he's measuring a week ahead) Eggplant (9.2in, 2lbs) Last week I was ahead of myself and had put eggplant down. So I went back and changed it. He was about the length of an ear of corn I guess.

Maternity clothes: I wore a dressy maternity blouse for church on Sunday, but did wear my regular dress pants! (wore them a little lower to get under the belly) :) Other than that, sweats and sweatshirt during the day! Today I had to put on some other jeans so my favorite pair could be washed. I had to do the hair tie around the button trick in order to wear them comfortably! :)

Movement: Probably the most I've felt so far. At one point in the day, I asked if he'd ever slept that day?!

What I miss: Sweet tea and soda. Confession: I've been drinking too much coffee. (hence all the activity)

Sleep: still waking up early in the morning and then falling back to sleep. REALLY tired this week, so falling to sleep hasn't been a problem.

Symptoms: TIRED and sore!!! Acne, forgetfulness, and sore breasts.

Cravings: Coffee. Confession: I went to Starbucks twice this past week.

Best moment this week: Finding out my insurance covered a bill specific bill unexpectedly! (PTL!) :) and Joe buying his own vehicle to get to and from work in CASH!!!!

What I'm looking forward to: Taking a ride in Joe's car. He just got home from registering it! :) Pictures soon to come!

Pregnancy week 23

I never know what to tell people when they ask, "how far along are you?" My doctor would tell you I'm 23 weeks according to my LMP. But the lady who gives the ultrasound, (whatever they're called???) will say, "He's right on schedule, 24 weeks." (which really means he's measuring a week ahead of schedule lady!)

So what do I do? Is my due date June 19, or June 11? And with Lincoln, he came exactly a week early, so June, 12, or June 5? To imagine having him that soon is too scary to think about....! Recently I've been telling people what the doctor says, but being hopeful he'll make an appearance around the 11th. :)

last minute picture for this post. I really need Joe to take the pictures. (And maybe I should clean the mirror!)

How far along: 23 weeks, 1 day

Countdown: 16 weeks, 6 days

Size of baby: (according to 24 weeks...) Ear of corn (8.5in, 1.5 lbs)

Maternity clothes: I haven't been wearing too much of maternity clothes yet. I have only one pair of jeans that fit and I wear them all.the.time. Most of my days are spent in sweats/yoga pants and over-sized sweatshirts.

Movement: lots of movement this week with kicks and I think I felt some rolling over. This Baby seems to be positioned lower than I remember from last pregnancy. So kicks are a little uncomfortable at times. (I know he can't, but I feel as if he's gonna kick himself out!)

What I miss: Soda. I do give myself 1-2 smalls cups of coffee in the morning and that's my intake of caffeine for the day.

Sleep: So far so good. Actually, I've been falling asleep pretty quickly and sleeping really soundly! Joe says I've been talking in my sleep! I do wake up around 3am to roll over, look at the clock, and fall right back to sleep.

Symptoms: sore back and fatigued in the evenings.

Cravings: Sweets. I made a cream cheese braid for brunch last Saturday! Covered it with powdered sugar frosting!

Best moment this week: Lincoln feeling his brother's movement for the first time! And FINALLY getting over that dumb cold!

What I'm looking forward to: Nap time!
